  • Draw Poker

You will be dealt five cards after which a betting round continues. The rest of the players have to get a better hand by trading their three cards for new cards from the deck. If you get an Ace by chance, you can trade all your four cards as per your requirement.

  • Stud Poker

In this variant the players are also dealt with five cards, In some games, seven cards are dealt. After assessing the strength of their hands, the players accordingly wager their chips. If you bid the most chips in the game, then you win the round unless and until someone else has matched your bet. To determine the winner, both you and the other player have to show their hands. The player with the best hand wins the round.

Gameplay

After the cards are dealt in a game of Poker, every player from the left of the dealer can do the following four options:

  • Raise

If you get a good hand or want the other payers to think that you have a good hand, you can increase the wager.

  • Fold

If you do not have a good hand or do not want to increase the wager with your existing hand, you can fold and lay down your cards. You won’t lose any more chips in this process.

  • Call

After a player has raised his stakes, the other players can choose to raise or fold or call – equaling the wagering amount of the first player who raised.

  • Check

If no one raises their wager for the game to continue, the player can choose to do nothing or pass his betting option to the next player.

The aim of the game is to get the best five-card Poker hand possible through combinations and card values. The better hands are much more difficult to achieve and this hierarchy of hands is more or less the same for every Poker variant out there.
